OUR VISION
RENEWLA is a non-profit organization seeking to renew the city of Los Angeles culturally and socially by providing educational services to children in urban poor areas in downtown.
We are currently in the fundraising phase of our organization’s development. We are raising funds to start a tutoring program that we are calling iCAN.

OUR STORY
RENEWLA began as a community service arm of Sovereign Grace Church in downtown Los Angeles in 2007. For two years the church tried various things to serve the city: soup kitchens, building homes, reading to kids, taking inner city kids on field trips, parent’s night out dinner for inner city workers, and family fall festivals in Watts. During this journey the church realized that it had a gift and desire to serve inner-city children in the areas of education, music, and art. Although the needs of the city are great, RENEWLA was started to focus on inner-city kids with no strings attached. In 2009 RENEWLA became a 501(c)(3) organization seeking to serve the city with no strings attached.
